We have witnessed so many serious and recurrent tampering methods, that we are convinced that the main threat to the user, when it comes to seals, is hidden substitution, not obvious physical destruction. Seals can be replaced by look-alikes using several methods. The easiest one is to alter identity marks on a second seal - illegally acquired, or even legally purchased - and simply substitute the original for this copy, after having performed the perfect smuggle.

Our Integral Design feature :

All identity markings on the seal (logos, numbers, bar-codes, etc…) are fully encapsulated in a transparent plastic shield, a solid component of the seal body. It is impossible to erase, modify or alter the seal identity without fully destroying it.

Full product customization :

At Universeal, each important user receives a unique version of the Locktainer™ seal :

The seal shaft is molded out of a dedicated mold for each customer with its own corporate logo molded on the pin head.
Barrel and shaft can be color-coded with restricted plastic-coating colors.
The identity tag, encapsulated and tamperproof, features the clients corporate logo, in colors if desired and receives a unique, computer generated serial number and / or bar code.
Identity molded-inscriptions all over the seal are significant deterrents to those trying to duplicate seals. Duplicating our seals would require complex, expensive tooling and production equipment.

Raised triangle shape on the shaft that would not match anymore if there was an attempt to saw through it and glue it back together.
Matching serial number can be printed on selected positions on the pin
Specially designed guide on top of the barrel ensure proper locking of the pin and act as indicator for any tampering attempt.
Universeal Database : we maintain a database which can be accessed by our clients at any time, where each seal is recorded by number, production date, delivery date and place, user name etc…
